LAPP India inaugurates new service point in Pune | ENGINEERING REVIEW |Manufacturing | Industrial Sector Magazine & Portal
As part of the expansion of their end-to-end systems solutions network, LAPP India, a leader in cable and connection technology has launched their third and biggest service point in Pune to provide customised solutions to customers. The facility was inaugurated by Gary Bateman, Managing Director, LAPP India. The event was attended by the leadership team of LAPP India including Shiv Venkatramani, Vice President Operations and Ramesh Menon, Vice President, Human Resources along with some of their esteemed customers.
LAPP is renowned for innovation, technical expertise and in-depth understanding of customer requirements. This facility was launched in line with the organisation’s growing focus towards the changing needs of LAPP’s growing customer base for plug and play solutions.The service point is ISO-9001-2015 and ISO-14001-2015 certified and has highly qualified and trained employees to manufacture quality harnessing. It includes the best tools/machines for various operations involved in cable assembly and testing such as cable cutting, stripping, crimping, marking, push pull testing and continuity testing. The infrastructure capabilities available here include tensile tester, electrical crimping machine, pneumatic crimping fix, pneumatic stripper, inkjet printer, HST cutting machine, battery operated crimping machine, cable cutting machine, cutting and winding machine, pneumatic cutting fix and lead-free soldering. This inauguration is a new milestone in LAPP’s journey of transitioning from a product manufacturer to an end-to-end solution provider.
Speaking on the occasion, Gary Bateman, Managing Director, LAPP India said “With this highly enhanced facility, we are looking forward to engaging directly with more of our customers and work closely with them to develop innovative solutions tailored to their specific requirements.We aim to triple the number of our service points in India by 2027 to cater to increasing customer demands.”
As part of other developments, LAPP India had also recently inaugurated its third Center of Excellence (CoE) at the Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) in Bhopal. This event was presided over by John Kingsly, Senior IAS officer and Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation. This is the third CoE set up by LAPP India; the first two being in collaboration with PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore and RV College of Engineering, Bengaluru. Through these CoEs, LAPP India aims to inculcate an innovative mindset among students by providing them with easy access to state-of-the art technology, expert knowledge, and industry expertise from the cable and connection technology space.
