With the experience gained of digitalizing our own factory, our focus areas will be to share this knowledge with our factory owner’s customer base, offering both technical solutions and the hands-on experience of knowing what actually it means to implement industry 4.0 in one’s facilities, we believe we will grow.

Q. What are the market opportunities for Exor products in India? How do you plan to position these products?

A precise business philosophy is followed which influences all the choices that are made: everything in the company is the result of the collaboration of experience and talent, shared with new ideas and given space for our young engineers to express themselves. In an ever-changing economic environment rather than employing our resources on what might change,

We prefer to focus on what will not change:

  1. The need of our customers for our technology that reliably improves performance and security
  2. The awareness that when entrepreneurs make a choice for their automation processes, they know they are committed for many years. We are aware that the entrepreneur who signs a contract which implements work runs a certain level of process risk. In this risk taking we have to be a guarantee with our products and our support.

Q. What is your marketing strategy for India?

Indian Industrial Automation market is growing at a very fast pace over the last few years and it is expected to gain even more momentum going ahead as well. Exor India is continuously doing additions to the Sales & Support team and Channel Partners to reach & cater to the maximum geographies and customer segments. Q. Could you brief us on Indian & Global perspective of your industry?

The industrial automation market is expected to register a CAGR of 9.3% from 2020 to 2027 to reach $306.2 billion by 2027 from $164.2 billion in 2020. The industrial automation market is growing rapidly due to the high adoption of automation solutions in the manufacturing sector. Manufacturing companies are increasingly investing in industrial automation technologies to improve system reliability & efficiency and eliminate production errors caused by human labor.

The COVID-19 pandemic has drastically impacted several manufacturing and processing industries across the globe.
The industrial sector was severely impacted by the pandemic due to the reduced consumption of high-cost products and the consumers’ inclination to spend on only the most essential goods & services. During the nation-wide lockdowns, consumers restricted their spending on consumer goods, high-cost electronics, textiles, automobiles, and machinery, which impacted the major application sectors for the industrial automation market. With countries resuming trade and economic activity and stability in consumer lifestyles, the spending on these products and services is expected to increase, boosting the demand for automation solutions over the coming years. The market is expected to recover in 2021 and 2022 due to restrictions on the volume of human labour allowed at manufacturing facilities and keep growing in the coming years, especially with increasing focus on digitalisation and servitization.

Q. According to you what are the factors affecting to your business?

The current global component shortage issue of course.
But the underlying trend is for more edge devices to be sought. This will only increase with the introduction over the next few years of 5G networks.

Q. What are the key technological trends that are driving industrial automation industry?

The market evolves at a pace that is consistent with the principal needs of the participants: safe, durable technology that helps the real needs of industry. The market is understandably cautious in its adoption of new technology as the risk of production line disruptions have a high cost.

That said, in recent times the concepts of digitalization of the factory and servitization of the machines, have become more in focus. We believe this trend will accelerate in the coming years and require a renewed attention upon smart edge devices capable of high compute AI and deep machine learning.

Q. What is your vision for your company?

To be considered the “Trusted Partner” to our customer base for the entire spectrum of IoT platform. Basically, to help our customers remain competitive in a challenging world.

Q. What are the issues you need to address that are related to your industry?

The major issues fall into 8 distinct categories where every company is or will be competing within:

  • Data-driven Plant Performance
  • Data-driven Inventory Performance
  • Data-driven Quality Improvement
  • Machines as a Service
  • Human data interface
  • Predictive Maintenance
  • Remote Servicing
  • Virtual Training and Validation
